The system has been developed to be flexible to enable manufacturing
sites to adapt the Treefrog Loss and Waste system as they develope and
improve their manufacturing operations. This is archived by utilising
a multi-theaded system architecture based on an object orientated data
management philosophy. This enables the data to be manipulated by site,
process, line, and component, dependent on your configuration.

The design, reliability and speed of access to the Loss and Waste data is the key to this products success. Treefrog Software has always reconised that customers have their own corporate database standards and therefore support storage of the physical data in a number of reconised database system formats:

These solutions are true client server, with TLW interfacing to native clients locally, which communicate to proprietary Server software installed on a dedicated server via TCPIP.
Treefrog Software firmly believe that our customers should have unlimited access to all of their data, and this is evident in the number of graphs, system, fixed and query reports that can be accessedby users. Not content with this then we provide the ability to export any report into Mircosoft excel files, facilitating the intergration of other sources of factory data, and user definable charts and calculations.
System reports allow the user to obtain lists of currently defined products, operators, shift patterns, batch cycle times and packing speeds to name a few.
Fixed reports are desinged to condense information into a single page report, usually with a time frame of Shift, Day, Week and Month, whereas query reports provide access to all data held in the system.
As well as Reporting Functionality we also provide drill down graph hierarchies to support both OPE and OEE on each line. These graphs break down the Availability, Performance and Quality into trends and further into Pie graphs of the present week and the last three months totaled.

The TreeFrog Loss and Waste Query Engine come pre-configured and predefined within your TreeFrog Loss and Waste System, all you need to do is click on the "Query" button and off you go. All the work is done for you as the Query Engine links Dynamically with your existing TreeFrog Loss and Waste databases to retrieve the data you requested in real time.
The Loss and Waste Query Engine is the key to your success, giving you the ability to report on all your business critical systems on the click of your mouse.
Enhances the data mining and reporting functions of Treefrog Loss & Waste. Allows the user total freedom to define sophisticated data searches and reports, using an easy-to-access interface.
The following are minimum requirements for the normal operation of the TreeFrog Loss & Waste software system. For network operation, we require 15% of the total bandwidth for each workstation (connected at 10BaseT) to be available during peak site network loading.
•Standalone Hardware
PI / II 133 MHz processor, minimum 64 Mbytes RAM, typically 500 Mbytes free hard disk space per year depending on the site configuration. SVGA Monitor. CD ROM drive. or

PI / II 133 MHz processor, minimum 64 Mbytes RAM, 50 Mbytes free hard disk space. SVGA Monitor. CD ROM drive. and
•Server Hardware
PIII 700 MHz processor, minimum 256 Mbytes RAM, typically 2 GBytes free hard disk space per year depending on the site configuration. SVGA Monitor. CD ROM drive. Operating Systems Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, NT and NT Server. Network Environments Supports TCP/IP Protocol, Novell SPX/IPX.
•Architecture
The system is designed and constructed to be multi-threaded with three main threads Configuration, Language and Data. The data is stored in a dBase IV file format to provide maximum accessibility as well as speed.
•The system can be provided in one of three configurations:
- Standalone - All the system installed on a single desktop PC.
- Client Server file sharing - Multiple desktop PC's sharing database files stored on a server drive.
- Client Server - Multiple desktop PC's utilising an Oracle client, accessing an installed server system via direct IPX addressing to SQL/Oracle server. (Oracle v8). We can also, on request, provide the Client Server option in a number of other SQL database systems, e.g. Microsoft SQL, MySQL and Informix.
•With options for one or combinations of the following:
- Single/Multi-Site
- Single/Multi-Process
- Single/Multi-Line
